Aberdeen-based Eden Scott, a leading oil and gas recruitment agency, seeks an experienced Senior Subsea Engineering Project Specialist to join their dynamic team.

Job Description

Project Overview

The ideal candidate will work closely with the project manager to ensure project objectives, schedule, deliverables, and milestones are met. This will involve performance management of suppliers and/or sub-contractors, preparation of procedures, task plans, lift plans, and review of drawings and engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the project manager to develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Lead the performance management of suppliers and/or sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, task plans, and lift plans.
  • Review and approve drawings and engineering deliverables, ensuring they meet project specifications.
  • Provide input to cost estimates, schedule development, and manpower requirements.
  • Support pre and post-testing of equipment, as well as repair and maintenance activities.
  • Plan and manage the mobilization and demobilization of equipment, rigging, and installation aids.
  • Liaise with discipline engineering teams to ensure subsea hardware engineering, including development, evaluation, engineering, design, controls, procurement, and construction phases of project implementation.
  • Direct and oversee engineering tasks performed by the project team of engineers.
  • Responsibility for creating and reviewing engineering procedures and specifications for compliance with design principles, applicable standards, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare design changes, specifications, schematics, and test plans for installation equipment and subsea hardware.
  • Perform oversight of offshore operations and on-site oversight of projects and subcontractors as required in a project role.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Structural, Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering).
  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience from the subsea industry.
  • Proficient in MathCAD, 3D CAD, and 2D AutoCAD.
  • Ability to travel internationally for work scopes.
  • Valid driver's license and passport.
  • Must be able to obtain: Seamen's book, Petroleum Education Council (PEC) Basic Training, Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
