Account Manager - Direct Mail

Our client, a leading provider of marketing and communications in the UK, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct mail or transactional mail, with a deep understanding of lithographic printing and finishing, digital and laser printing, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions and cost-effective services that meet their customer communication needs.
  • Manage data and information required for each stage of the project, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Administer jobs with effective cost management, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Communicate with clients daily to ensure they are informed of project progress.
  • Track performance on each account, including turnover and trends.
  • Monitor job status at all times, ensuring daily presence on the production floor to ensure client requirements are met.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of Management Information Systems (e.g. Shuttleworth) and Microsoft applications.
  • Methodical with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately translate client requirements into production requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge and practical understanding of lithographic printing and finishing, digital and laser printing, managing data and data briefs, envelope production, mailing and postal services.
  • Ability to generate innovative and effective solutions to meet and exceed client requirements.
  • Team player, able and willing to assist other members of their team and contribute towards common team objectives.
  • Flexible and able to cope under pressure.
