Elective Flow Manager

The Trust Elective Flow Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Trust's Patient Pathway Programme, ensuring that all patients on an elective care pathway are managed within the Trust's booking guideline timescales. This involves managing appointments, admissions, and follow-up care across all Trust specialties.
Main Duties of the JobThe post of the Trust Elective Flow Manager will provide the interface between clinicians, administrative staff, and patients to manage and develop the overall administrative pathway. This includes:
- Liaising with clinicians to validate patient pathways and ensure timely management of patient care.
- Developing and implementing administrative processes to improve patient experience and care.
- Managing and developing the Central RTT (Referral to Treatment) Validation Team to provide support to all Trust Specialities.
- Working closely with the Trust's Performance Team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.

Detailed Job Description and Main ResponsibilitiesThe Trust Elective Flow Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing and developing the administrative pathway for patients on an elective care pathway.
- Liaising with clinicians to validate patient pathways and ensure timely management of patient care.
- Developing and implementing administrative processes to improve patient experience and care.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrable success in building, leading, motivating, managing, and developing teams.
- Extensive knowledge of administrative procedures.
- Experience of organising own work and diary management.
- Basic knowledge of project management principles.
- Previous experience of hospital systems and software.
