Job Title: Chief Power Electronics Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing innovative power electronic systems and leading cross-functional projects to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget goals, and strong customer relationships.
  • Provide technical leadership in power electronics design, proposing innovative R&D projects and developing cutting-edge power electronic systems.
  • Approve and improve electronics designs to meet quality standards and enhance quality processes.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of colleagues, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to drive revenue growth and promote the company's values.

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge and experience in power electronics and magnetics, especially in power conversion (e.g., inverters, OBC, DC/DC, chargers).
  • Proven experience from concept design to validation testing and production, with a strong understanding of high voltage, high power switching devices (SiC, IGBT, GaN), and related testing methods.
  • Understanding of EMC submissions, safety standards, and OEM requirements.
  • Strong track record in planning, leading, and delivering large, multi-disciplinary projects, with a methodical approach to decision making and problem solving.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, off-highway, commercial vehicle, defence, clean energy, and/or marine sectors.
  • Experience with high power, high voltage test equipment in a dedicated lab setting.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and cultural awareness, with the ability to mentor and train colleagues and customer engineers.
