Supported Accommodation Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Supported Accommodation Officer. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to residents in our accommodation services.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain professional relationships with residents to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
- Collaborate with residents to create personalized support plans, focusing on their unique needs and aspirations.
- Assist residents in accessing benefits, finding permanent accommodation, and resolving other issues contributing to their homelessness.
- Liaise with external agencies on behalf of residents, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources.
- Promote positive health attitudes among residents, encouraging them to register with a local GP and access healthcare services.
- Advocate for residents' rights and responsibilities, ensuring they understand their obligations and are empowered to make informed decisions.
- Contribute to the efficient running of the house, including minor maintenance, household supplies, and repairs.
- Ensure residents are aware of and comply with accommodation charges and payment arrangements.
- Maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the house, fostering a sense of community among residents.
- Ensure the cleanliness and security of the building, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Participate in the on-call system, providing emergency support and cover during normal working hours.
- Monitor referrals to the house, addressing void/vacant bed spaces and maintaining efficient administration systems.
- Work within an agreed budget, maintaining accurate records and handling income securely.

- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
