Supported Accommodation Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Supported Accommodation Officer. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to residents in our accommodation services.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain professional relationships with residents to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
- Collaborate with residents to create personalized support plans, focusing on their unique needs and aspirations.
- Assist residents in accessing benefits, finding permanent accommodation, and resolving issues contributing to their homelessness.
- Liaise with external agencies to ensure residents receive comprehensive support and services.
- Promote positive health attitudes among residents, including registration with local healthcare providers.
- Encourage residents to engage with our services and support networks, empowering them to take control of their lives.
- Work closely with the Resettlement team to facilitate residents' transition to independent living.
- Ensure residents understand their rights and responsibilities, including accommodation charges and payment arrangements.
- Maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in our accommodation services, fostering a sense of community among residents.
- Contribute to the efficient running of our services, including minor maintenance, household supplies, and repairs.
- Commitment to our mission of ending homelessness and supporting vulnerable adults.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and pressures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trust and rapport with residents.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults, including those experiencing homelessness.
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle, with a willingness to travel as required.
