Support the team in ensuring the smooth delivery of complex patient pathways, including:

  • Managing team members, including rostering, training, and development through the appraisal process.
  • Serving as the key point of contact for external organizations to manage patient referrals.
  • Communicating service updates and escalating capacity challenges to the care group management team.

General Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing duty rosters to ensure adequate cross-cover arrangements are in place.
  • Allocating workload fairly across teams and ensuring staff work flexibly to meet patient and clinical team needs.
  • Monitoring team performance in relation to achieving targets, such as national waiting list targets and high-quality patient-focused services.
  • Authorizing staff timesheets and claim forms in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Ensuring team members are appropriately trained and competent in electronic systems and standard operating procedures.
  • Arranging training and development as needed to update skills and knowledge.
  • Conducting regular appraisals for team members.
  • Setting expectations for customer service levels and ensuring staff understand and maintain these standards.
  • Receiving and responding to patient, carer, colleague, and external agency enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Updating electronic data with changes to patients' personal details.
