About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Care Assistant to join our team at Furness General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including washing and dressing, serving meals, and helping with mobility.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight, and reporting any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with health checks, taking blood samples, and processing lab samples.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment, including sterilizing equipment and restocking consulting rooms, trolleys, and stations.
Requirements
  • Pass an enhanced background check.
  • Provide references that cover the last two years.
