About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer Assemblies to join our team at Amphenol Corporation. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products and concepts that meet the business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop detailed technical design drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software and Microsoft software packages.
  2. Manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely completion and meet NPI plans.
  3. Resolve manufacturing issues in the early stages of product design and development.
  4. Work closely with design briefs to resolve design details or discrepancies.
  5. Interface with internal and external customers during the design process.
  6. Support the design and development of test rigs.
  7. Ensure products are developed to achieve compliance with design objectives.
  8. Provide formal handover of designed products to the Manufacturing Process Engineering group.
Requirements
  • Minimum BEng level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Scientific subject.
  • Currently or working towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status and member of Professional Engineering Institution.
  • Minimum 3 years Design Engineering experience preferably in Automotive or Aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Experienced using CREO or similar 3D CAD and product lifecycle management software.
  • Experience of design for manufacture and design for assembly.
