About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emotional Support Specialist to join our team in South Yorkshire. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and academic development of students with SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their potential.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Strong understanding of SEMH issues and effective strategies for supporting students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support or related fields.
