Job Title: Public Relations Specialist

VANRATH is assisting a major Communications Company in Belfast with the recruitment of a PR and Communications Executive. The successful candidate will join their growing team at their office in Belfast, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the option to work from home on Fridays.

The role involves playing a key supporting role in the servicing of client accounts, including campaign management, press release drafting, social media, and influencer partnerships. Experience in public affairs is desirable, with a strong knowledge of the local government and political landscape in Northern Ireland. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

We estimate that the salary for this position is around £35,000 + negotiable depending on experience, plus a fantastic benefits package, including work from home options and flexible working hours.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year's experience in PR, public affairs, and/or digital communications
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the media landscape in Northern Ireland (and Republic of Ireland highly desirable)
  • Proven track record of securing strong media coverage and online reach/engagement for campaigns
  • Experience in account management and campaign activation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
