Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work in a Secondary SEN School, supporting a pupil with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1:1 and small group basis. The role involves providing support for pupils both inside and outside the classroom, with a focus on behavioural needs to enable students to achieve academic targets in addition to personal and social development.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Good academic qualifications (Degree, A Levels & GCSEs)
  • Previous experience of working with children (Voluntary or Paid)
  • Previous experience with SEN, specifically trauma, social, emotional and mental health conditions
  • A confident, engaging and upbeat personality
  • Reliability, dedication and consistency
  • Passion for SEN
  • Previous experience in a classroom is desirable
  • Empathy and a good sense of humour
