Scope of Services

We require the services of a Decommissioning Project Engineer to provide independent contract services to support the multi-discipline delivery of decommissioning projects. The scope of services requires providing broad technical inputs and project engineering on a range of decommissioning projects, from traditional upstream oil and gas to emerging energy transition developments.

The service provider will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical inputs and project engineering on decommissioning projects.
  • Collaborating with a highly skilled and experienced decommissioning team.
  • Defining new decommissioning philosophies and technical support for mature assets.
  • Producing decommissioning programmes and client support during execution.
  • Targeting value-add contributions to support early-phase key project decision making.

Genesis is managed within core services lines and key markets. The Genesis UK Operating Centre is organised into 8 core delivery teams. In this role, you would join the Project and Discipline Engineering Delivery Team.

Requirements

The service provider is required to have:

  • Relevant engineering qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years decommissioning project engineering experience.
  • Previous experience of working as part of a multi-discipline team on decommissioning projects.
  • Manage multi-discipline teams in the delivery of decommissioning project studies.
  • Review of documentation and provision of technical and compliance advice.
  • Develop high-quality proposals and bid submissions.
  • Excellent report-writing, reviewing, communication, client-handling, and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility for ad-hoc travel is required. It is essential that applicants have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
