As a Deputy Surgical Ward Manager at Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, you will play a crucial role in managing the ward's operations and implementing policies and procedures.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Applying relevant policies and statutory regulations within the ward and hospital governance framework.
  • Assessing and managing risks within the immediate and broader working environment ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Upholding and modeling equality and diversity principles promoting them across the team and integrating them into care aspects.
Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the implementation monitoring and evaluation of therapeutic interventions within the overall care programme.
  • Supporting individuals with mental health and/or learning disabilities in developing effective coping strategies.
  • Contribution to the collaborative assessment and management of risks related to harm danger and abuse taking appropriate actions.
  • Fulfilling nursing roles as the named nurse for a small group of patients serving as an Associate Nurse for colleagues during shifts and taking regular responsibilities as a shift leader.

  • Essential clinical supervision experience.
  • A commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and leadership enhancement.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Experience in Acute Mental Health.
