Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are working with our client, a leading airport services provider, to recruit a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team at Heathrow Airport.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to work on a variety of plant and equipment, ensuring they are safe, operational, and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out first fix repairs on plant and equipment, including daily drive checks, battery top-ups, and fluid changes.
  • Ensure all preventative works are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with HAL regulations for airside working.
  • Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and ensure all relevant electronic records are completed accurately.
  • Liaise with the Duty Manager and Workshop colleagues to provide updates on job status and progress.
  • Comply with Health and Safety Legislation and internal H&S procedures, including the use of company-issued mobile tablets and mobile phones.
  • Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment is worn where necessary and is in good working order and condition.
  • Ensure company vehicles are used in line with company policies and legal requirements, and are kept clean and tidy after use.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in an airport or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of plant and equipment maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work at height and in confined spaces.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and weekends.
