Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Functional Assessor to join our team at Maximus Services, LLC. As a key member of our assessment team, you will play a vital role in evaluating the impact of disabilities or health conditions on daily life.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You will work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders, using your compassion and experience to help customers move forward with their lives.

The role involves conducting telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to gather information about a person's condition and its impact on their daily activities. Your findings will be used to produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports, which will help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person's eligibility for benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand the impact of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life
  • Produce high-quality WCA reports to inform benefit decisions
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid NMC registration number
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHS
  • The right to work in the UK - we cannot offer sponsorships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
