Healthcare Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Professional to join our close-knit care team at Woodlands Care Home. Our home offers a serene and supportive environment where personalized care meets exceptional living.


The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our care team, promoting the values and ethos of our home. They will empower residents to maintain their independence, while providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines and encourage positive choices to remain as independent as possible.
  • Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident’s care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
  • Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces.
  • Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
  • Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
  • Passion: You’re genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
  • Values: You bring integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork to everything you do.
