About the Role

We are seeking an experienced VAT Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a VAT Manager, you will be responsible for providing a range of VAT compliance and advisory services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the tax partner to provide VAT compliance and advisory services
  • Liaise with clients regarding all VAT matters and be their point of contact
  • Follow up all live VAT leads generated by the firm and take responsibility for growing and developing the workload and overall team
  • Consult on a number of VAT queries and provide expert advice
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to come from a strong VAT background and ideally have experience working in a similar role within a practice environment. VAT professionals from HMRC or industry will be considered, but there must be a desire to work in an accountancy firm. Ideally, you will have experience of managing people and be willing to get involved in business development.
