About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Needs Care Professional to join our team at Protocol Education. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM), with the opportunity for a year-long contract and potential extension.

The successful candidate will have experience in the care sector and be passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of students with diverse needs. As a Special Needs Care Professional, you will work closely with teachers and staff to provide individualised care and support for students, enhancing their sensory awareness, refining their motor skills, and promoting social and cognitive growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care and support for students with diverse needs, including enhancing sensory awareness and refining motor skills.
  • Work in accordance with care plans to provide personalised support for students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Teach vocabulary and foster speech and language development, helping students communicate more effectively.
  • Facilitate creative and engaging lessons, such as art, cooking, music, and dance, to promote students' overall development.
  • Support students' social and cognitive growth through one-to-one support and group activities, promoting independence and confidence.
