Finance Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join our team at Tunstall UKI. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing analytical and commercial support across various areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Finance Business Partner in preparing standard monthly reporting, including Flash Reports, Monthly Management Accounts, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Managers to understand key drivers of budgetary success and provide financial analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Support the Finance Business Partner in the tender and bid process, providing financial analysis and commercial models to demonstrate financial viability.
  • Develop a clear understanding of individual contract specifications and terms to ensure compliance and work with Business Unit Managers to develop plans to exploit opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Assist in the review of customer, contract, and business unit profitability, working with Business Unit Managers to develop cost reduction initiatives and business improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • Part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or degree in a related subject (business finance, finance, or accountancy) or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience within a commercial Finance team assisting or producing management accounts.
  • Advanced Excel user with skills in pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.
  • Excellent analytical, qualitative, and quantitative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently and positively influence at all levels.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work to tight deadlines.
