In this position, you will deliver analytical and commercial insights across your designated areas. Your duties will include generating precise and timely financial management reports, as well as assisting with forecasting, budgeting, and providing ad hoc financial support to Business Unit Managers to facilitate informed decision-making.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a skilled, analytical professional with a strong background in Excel, reporting, forecasting, and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
  • A degree in a relevant field such as business finance, finance, or accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in a commercial finance team, particularly in management accounts.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and the commercial factors influencing financial performance.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.
  • Strong qualitative, quantitative, and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, organize, analyze, and present significant data accurately.
  • Excellent data analysis and business reporting capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage and positively influence stakeholders at all levels.

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting the Finance Business Partner in preparing standard monthly reports and commentary within set deadlines.
  • Maintaining budget and rolling forecast models to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
  • Assisting in the tender and bid processes by providing financial analysis and developing robust commercial models.
  • Supporting business units during contract transitions to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborating with Business Unit Managers to assess profitability and develop cost reduction strategies.
  • Contributing to the development of competitive pricing models that respond to market demands.
