Job Title: Financial Manager - Rent and Service Charges

Cy Resourcing is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of rent and service charges for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of rent and service charge functions, including line management of the Finance Officer (Rent and Service Charge).
  • Prepare and review annual rental income and service charge budgets to ensure accurate determination and charging of service charge costs.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints related to rent and service charge functions.
  • Prepare forecasts and management information and accounts, specifically around rent and service charges.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations for relevant rents and service charge areas.
  • Lead the production of service charge statements for actual costs, aligned to relevant tenancy agreements or lease obligations, and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to improving Value for Money (VFM) and reducing annual service charge deficits.
  • Review and develop rent and service charge setting policies, controls, procedure guides, and processes to maintain efficiencies.
  • Ensure systems and databases used for rent and service charge calculation and charging are up-to-date, accurate, and contain relevant information.
  • Advise on statutory consultation in relation to service charges and attend residents' meetings regarding rents and service charges as necessary.
  • Provide advice and training to the business.

The ideal candidate will be a conscientious and accurate producer and manager of financial information, with a strong background and experience in rent and service charge accounting.
