As a key member of the Management Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing a small efficient Accounts function on a Xero platform, managing/coaching two Assistant Accountants, and developing internal controls to ensure timely and efficient financial transactions.

The ideal candidate will have solid all-round Accounts experience, be technically sound, and enjoy working in a busy SME business environment. They will be able to demonstrate energy and enthusiasm to make their mark in this fast-paced, fast-growing SME.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a small efficient Accounts function on a Xero platform.
  • Manage/coach 2 Assistant Accountants.
  • Develop internal controls to ensure timely and efficient financial transactions.
  • Produce monthly management accounts with insightful business performance commentary.
  • Develop annual budget and regular forecasts.
  • Liaise closely with the Auditors to produce the annual statutory accounts.
  • Cashflow management/control including main point of contact with the Bank to meet covenants.
  • Close day-to-day contact with the Marketing team to support client tenders and accurate, timely billing of live project campaigns.
