Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Craftsperson to join our Crane Maintenance Team at Tata Steel Colors Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the mechanical upkeep, overhaul, and repair of our crane equipment, ensuring high-level bay maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in compliance with our IMS procedures and PPE guidelines.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Overhead Travelling Cranes.
- Perform high-quality mechanical repairs based on existing schematics within set timelines.
- Contribute to the design and production of spare parts for cranes.
- Engage in the refurbishment of current machinery.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, enhancing safety and cleanliness within the Crane Maintenance Team.
- Perform additional duties in Workshops, auxiliary plants, and during downshifts as needed.
- Conduct Zone Safety audits and Risk assessments in accordance with our Safety Sub Plan.
Requirements:
- Experience in the steel or construction industry.
- NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong risk assessment skills and the confidence to address safety concerns.
- Exceptional communication abilities.
- Teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
