About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Craftsperson to join our Crane Maintenance Team in Shotton. As a Mechanical Craftsperson, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our overhead cranes, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on overhead cranes
  • Perform high-quality mechanical repairs based on existing schematics
  • Contribute to the design and production of spare parts for cranes
  • Engage in the refurbishment of current machinery
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
  • Perform additional duties in Workshops, auxiliary plants, and during downshifts as needed

Requirements:

We are looking for a seasoned fitter with substantial experience in the steel or construction industry. Possession of an NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
