Job Title: Senior Rail Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Rail Project Manager to join our team at Waterman Group. As a key member of our rail sector, you will be responsible for leading high-profile rail projects, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery. Your expertise in project management, engineering, and rail sector knowledge will be essential in driving our business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead rail projects from planning to delivery, ensuring scope, cost, quality, risk, safety, health, and environmental issues are managed effectively.
  • Develop and execute project execution plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate delivery of rail bids, working closely with technical discipline leads.
  • Represent Waterman Group with clients for projects under responsibility.
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPIs, to improve project performance.
  • Manage the change control process, ensuring the production of formal progress and other reports to project directors and management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Chartered status (C.Eng/MIStructE) preferred.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Familiarity with Network Rail, TfL, and other key client delivery processes.
  • Project management qualifications.
  • Significant experience in the UK rail sector in a particular engineering discipline or multidisciplinary rail project.
