Job Title: Service Delivery Coordinator

Join the Genomics Laboratory at Leeds Teaching Hospitals as a Service Delivery Coordinator and play a key role in leading the service through expanding demand and new laboratory information management systems.

About the Role

As a Service Delivery Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading the service to maximize quality and productivity, supporting staff to be their best, and driving service improvements. You will work closely with clinical colleagues and the Senior Leadership Team to achieve this goal.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead the direct delivery of the 24/7 service across all sites of two Trusts.
  2. Manage the overall performance of the department, including recruitment, performance, appraisal, and training of staff.
  3. Develop and implement departmental policy, accreditation, and service improvement initiatives.
  4. Deliver national and local targets, and contribute to the departmental executive management team.
  5. Provide complex advice to medical and clinical staff, and maintain a clear understanding of national and regional policy and guideline development.
Requirements
  • Accredited Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent qualification acceptable to the Health Professions Council (HPA).
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with experience in service improvement techniques.
  • Knowledge of conventional IT business software, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work flexibly and maintain a clear understanding of the contribution the service makes to key national agendas.
