We are recruiting freelance interpreters to work with various UK public and private sector organisations, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other entities.
As a freelance interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, using your language skills to facilitate communication between service users and providers.
Language Empire provides professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors across the UK. We have been offering our services for over 20 years, covering hundreds of languages and dialects.
If you are a skilled linguist with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this role.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
- Ensuring the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
- Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
- Dealing with highly confidential information
- Liaising between the service user and service provider
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and another language
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- You must be aged 21 or over
- Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
