Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organised and motivated individual to join our team as a Voluntary Action Support Associate.

About the Role:

This role offers a unique opportunity to provide administrative support to Trustees and the Chief Executive, ensuring the effective operation of charity governance and committee responsibilities. Key duties include welcoming visitors, handling enquiries, maintaining filing systems, and providing financial and administrative assistance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support Trustees and the Chief Executive in charity-related governance and committee responsibilities.
  • Welcome visitors and deal with enquiries by telephone, email, and post.
  • Maintain filing systems, financial administration, and filing reports.
  • Ensure charity regulations and good practice are up-to-date and followed.
  • Provide financial and administrative support, including updating accounts and processing invoices.
  • Arrange committee meetings, take minutes, and manage actions.
  • Support the Bluecoat Manager and Maintenance Manager with operational tasks, such as paperwork and advertising vacancies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in administration or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work accurately with sensitive information.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database management.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £22,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including health insurance, pension scheme, and opportunities for career advancement.
