Job Title: Principal Systems Safety Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Systems Safety Engineer to join our team at ARM. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting safety assessments and supporting projects on all safety issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use safety analysis skills across the full system lifecycle, from requirements analysis to system integration and acceptance testing.
  • Identify hazards and investigate them using functional failure analyses and other techniques, identifying necessary mitigation's to reduce safety risks.
  • Evidence decisions using data available, through fault tree analysis, scenario analysis, and other techniques.
  • Document and present outcomes of safety analysis to stakeholders.
  • Generate safety requirements to meet customer and/or regulatory safety target requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering disciplines, customers, partners, and suppliers to solve complex problems.
  • Support audits as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience in safety analysis in a safety-critical industry on complex systems.
  • Experience across multiple engineering lifecycle phases.
  • Knowledge of lasers, radar systems, and/or sensor systems.
