Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Train Driver to join our team in the LNE region. As a key player, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and reliable service operation of freight trains, working with rostering and training teams, driver standards managers, delivery managers, and staff at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety of the line and all employees and public that may be affected by the operation of trains.
  • Operate various locomotives, including class 37s and state-of-the-art class 70s.
  • Work with rostering and training teams to ensure efficient and safe train operations.
  • Collaborate with driver standards managers and delivery managers to maintain high standards of service.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Train Driver experience with LNE, ECML, and/or North Eastern route knowledge.
  • A clean safety record.
  • A current PTS (third rail) appropriate to CTRL.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility with working shift patterns.
  • Ability to identify competency standards required as a result of legislation, operational standards, and safety procedures.
