About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Lead Practitioner Assessment Expert to join our team at Pearson. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing apprentices in the Early Years Lead Practitioner L5 program.

Job Description

As an End-Point Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting on-site or remote assessments, ensuring that candidates meet the required standards. You will need to maintain and update your knowledge and skills to ensure you remain effective in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake regular training and standardization activities to maintain expertise.
  • Maintain and provide evidence of ongoing CPD.
  • Assess candidate performance according to published assessment and grading criteria.
  • Ensure high-quality EPA reports and assessment evidence.
  • Support Pearson with appeals from apprentices regarding assessment decisions.
  • Report risks and issues encountered during the end-point assessment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Pearson's end-point assessment activities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A relevant Level 6 qualification and a qualification meeting Department for Education criteria.
  • 2 years postgraduate experience in Early Years Practice.
  • A DBS Certificate.
  • An assessor qualification.
