Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in providing exceptional services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide clinical and non-clinical care to patients under the supervision of registered healthcare practitioners, including blood pressure monitoring, oxygen saturation levels, body temperature, pulse rate, and respiration rate.
  • Phlebotomy: Undertake phlebotomy procedures to support outpatient clinics, with training provided if necessary.
  • Patient Assessment: Participate in patient assessment, providing holistic patient care and escalating concerns to other clinical staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or social setting, with knowledge of healthcare work and policies.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support (equivalent to Senior Health Care Support Worker) or equivalent experience.

Estimated Salary: £25,685 - £31,383 per annum, depending on experience.
