We are seeking an experienced Chief Security Operations Specialist to join our team in Leeds, England (UK). The estimated annual salary for this role is around £55,000 - £70,000.

This position involves protecting company and customer data by monitoring for threats and implementing various security measures. Additional responsibilities include investigating and addressing any security incidents, conducting security reviews, and taking the necessary steps to ensure the privacy, integrity, and availability of our information systems, services, and networks.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Responds to security alerts created across infosec alerting systems
  3. Escalates security alerts requiring further investigation
  4. Creates new security alerts and dashboards as needed
  5. Performs threat hunting across information security log feeds
  6. Creates Infosec policies, procedures, and playbooks
  7. Monitors, investigates and responds to security incidents
  8. Performs root cause analysis on identified vulnerabilities and incidents
  9. Conducts security reviews and penetration testing across company products and services
  10. Conducts vulnerability scanning and triages vulnerabilities across company products
  11. Monitor changes in the network and network activity for threats

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field preferred
  2. Security certification such as Security+, GSEC, CompTIA CySA+, or Cisco Cyber Ops are desirable
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of information security concepts and best practices
  4. Has an understanding of InfoSec concepts such as: cloud infrastructure, application security, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing
  5. Experience with SIEM tools, log observability, AWS and other infosec related apps and tools preferred
  6. Some experience with infosec testing tools and scripts.
  7. Familiar with SaaS application concepts: secure configuration, API's, logging, access control, permissions, troubleshooting.
  8. Some experience with relevant business applications such as ERP, CRM, and IdP solutions.
  9. Familiar with Docker and containerization desirable
  10. Familiar with implementing secure IT SaaS applications.
  11. Knowledge of various operating systems, ChromeOS, Linux, Mac, Windows.
  12. Able to navigate the linux command line
  13. Ability to write basic python scripts desirable
  14. Strong verbal and written communication
  15. Excellent time management and organization skills
  16. Excellent Analytical skills
