About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Manager to join our team at Creed Foodservice. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our products and technical data, as well as leading the Technical department in a positive, customer-focused, and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities


  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal stakeholders, including supplier selection, supplier expertise, product quality attributes, and control parameters.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop the Technical team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure the Technical team adheres to regulatory requirements, including food safety and quality standards, and manages Saffron nutritional & allergen reporting software.
  • Customer Focus: Deliver an awesome customer experience, ensuring customer product complaints are handled effectively and trends are monitored.
  • Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships, including initial selection and approval, site visits, technical expectations, and joint business improvement plans.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, develop and implement solutions, and maintain awareness of industry trends and legislative changes.


Requirements


  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in a Senior Technical role, with excellent I.T and administration skills, including intermediate Excel.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop the Technical team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of European and UK food legislation, with experience working with ERP systems and delivering software presentations and training.
  • Qualifications: Degree level qualification in food science or a similar field, with HACCP and IOSHH level three qualifications.
