Nurse Disability Assessor Job Description

Join Aspect Healthcare as a Nurse Disability Assessor and play a vital role in helping individuals with diverse health conditions navigate the benefits system. As a key member of our team, you will use your clinical expertise to conduct thorough assessments, gathering insights into how disabilities impact daily life. Your findings will inform decisions made by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), ensuring that individuals receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments with individuals who have a range of physical and/or mental health conditions.
  • Interpret medical evidence and gather findings into a detailed report to support DWP decision-making.
  • Work in an office-style environment and remotely, completing assessments over the phone, video, or face-to-face.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of post-registration experience.
  • NMC pin registration is mandatory.
  • UK experience is essential.
  • Proactive, keen to learn, and receptive to feedback.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and possess strong IT competency.
