Nurse Disability Assessor Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Disability Assessor. In this role, you will work with individuals who have a diverse range of physical and/or mental health conditions, conducting thorough assessments to support the decision-making process by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full, holistic assessments with individuals who have a varied range of health conditions
  • Interpret medical evidence and gather findings into a comprehensive report
  • Work within an office-style environment and at home, completing assessments over the telephone, video, or face-to-face

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with at least 1 year's broad post-registration experience
  • NMC pin registration is required
  • UK experience is essential
  • Proactive, keen to learn, and receptive to feedback
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and I.T competency is a must-have
