About the Role:
Fletcher George Financial Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Audit Manager to join our client, a highly successful firm of Chartered Accountants in the UK. As an Assistant Audit Manager, you will be responsible for leading audit teams and managing audit assignments, ensuring high-quality deliverables and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audit teams and manage audit assignments, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.
- Review and draft audit opinions, considering qualifications and providing detailed technical support on complex matters of UK GAAP and UK ISAs.
- Produce complex, detailed, and group statutory accounts within Caseware, and review simple corporation tax computations.
- Coach, mentor, and supervise junior members of the team, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Liaise with clients regarding audit timetables, audit and accounting issues, and provide detailed technical support on complex matters.
- Resource planning, including managing workflow and prioritizing assignments for junior members of the team.
- Monitor and manage audit work in progress on a pre-agreed client portfolio, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting recovery rate targets.
- Identify efficiency opportunities during review of assignments and identify additional audit billing opportunities on existing assignments and cross-selling for advisory services.
Requirements:
- ACCA or ACA qualified with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Caseware.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Proven track record in practice, with a strong understanding of UK GAAP and UK ISAs.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary, ranging from £42,000 to £53,000, dependent on relevant post-qualification experience.
