Audit Manager Assistant

Fletcher George, a highly successful firm of Chartered Accountants in Surrey, is seeking a skilled Assistant Audit Manager to join their team. As a key member of the audit team, you will be responsible for reviewing audit assignments, drafting audit opinions, and providing technical support on complex matters of UK GAAP and UK ISAs.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and draft audit opinions, considering qualifications and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and UK ISAs.
- Produce complex, detailed, and group statutory accounts within Caseware, demonstrating strong technical skills.
- Provide detailed technical support on complex matters of UK GAAP and UK ISAs, showcasing expertise and knowledge.
- Review simple corporation tax computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coach, mentor, and supervise junior members of the team, promoting growth and development.
- Liaise with clients regarding audit timetables, audit and accounting issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Resource planning, including managing workflow, prioritizing assignments, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and manage audit work in progress on a pre-agreed client portfolio, maintaining high standards and quality.
- Responsibility for recovery rate target and profitability on pre-agreed portfolio, driving business growth and success.
- Identify efficiency opportunities during review of assignments, implementing improvements and enhancements.
- Identify additional audit billing opportunities on existing assignments and cross-selling for advisory services, driving revenue growth.
The successful Assistant Audit Manager will have a proven track record in Practice, strong IT skills, and excellent client interaction skills. Benefits include a competitive salary, great range of benefits, and a supportive and open environment. The salary band of £42,000 - £53,000 has been set as a guide by Fletcher George and is dependent on relevant post-qualification experience.
