About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Barnstaple, working on maritime communications and smart city technology projects. As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will work with electro-mechanical components, reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams to create full assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assembly and machining support to Production and Engineering teams
  • Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and precision grinders for machining tasks
  • Deliver training support for company apprentices, promoting shop H&S and good housekeeping culture

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a skilled assembly technician or mechanical assembler
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics
  • Experience with hand soldering, polymer moulding processes, and component handling and identification
  • Competency in the use of measurement equipment, such as volt meters and oscilloscopes
  • Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) approved Health and Safety qualification desirable

Salary: Up to £28k per annum depending on experience

Location: Barnstaple based, on site

Estimated Salary Range: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
