Electromechanical Assembly Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team at Systems Engineering and Assessment Limited in Barnstaple. As an integral part of our production team, you will be responsible for providing assembly and machining support to our engineering and production departments.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Electromechanical Assembly Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing assembly and machining support to our production and engineering teams, working closely with wiring technicians, test technicians, and engineers to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.
- Performing skilled electrical and mechanical assembly work, including machining support, using a mix of electrical and mechanical assembly skills.
- Training and supporting company apprentices in the use of machine tools, promoting shop health and safety, and instilling good housekeeping practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in skilled assembly, mechanical assembly, or electro-mechanical roles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly instruction guides, and electronic schematics.
- Strong electrical and mechanical assembly skills, including hand soldering, polymer moulding processes, and component handling and identification.
- Competency in the use of measurement equipment, such as volt meters, continuity testers, force gauges, micrometers, verniers, and oscilloscopes.
