At Systems Engineering & Assessment (SEA), we are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our production team in Barnstaple. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge maritime communications and smart city technology, creating cleaner and safer cities.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of up to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a 37.5 hour week with occasional overtime, you will enjoy flexi time, flexi leave, and the benefit of finishing at 12:30 on Fridays. Job Description

As a skilled Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for providing assembly and machining support to Production and Engineering teams. You will work closely with Wiring Technicians, Test Technicians, and Engineers to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Skilled Mechanical and Electrical assembly work.
  • Machining support to Production and Engineering Departments.
  • Training support for company apprentices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a skilled assembly technician or electro-mechanical role.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics.
  • Competency in hand soldering, polymer moulding processes, and component handling.
  • Experience with measurement equipment such as volt meters and oscilloscopes.
