About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Custody Paramedic to join our team at HCRG Care Group. As a Custody Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to individuals in custody, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to individuals in custody, including those with minor illnesses or injuries.
  • Provide healthcare interventions to manage minor illnesses or injuries and refer onwards for more serious conditions.
  • Undertake forensic examinations of individuals in custody to record and collect DNA evidence, as required.
  • Collect specimens as required under legislation and provide written statements as needed.
  • Attend court or tribunal as required, following relevant training.
  • Maintain complete and accurate clinical records.
  • Assess alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal, and identify vulnerabilities and safeguarding pathways.
  • Support the clinical governance agenda of the organisation.
  • Administer medications through PGDs and PTPs.

  • A competitive salary of £37,000 per annum (full-time).
  • A minimum Band 5 salary.
  • 2 years' minimum experience required.
