As a key member of the Commercial Programme team at Gatwick Airport, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our building services. With a focus on ground-breaking projects, you will have the opportunity to lead the design of large, strategically important projects with budgets over £25m.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design of projects to ensure design meets project requirements and achieves real value for money.
- Work closely with the Programme Design Manager to ensure all projects are installed in line with approved designs.
- Develop project scope to meet business needs and deliver effective design management on individual projects.
- Seek sustainable design solutions to meet project requirements and implement measures to prevent, reduce, and remediate carbon emissions.
- Work with multiple stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Provide technical input to design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services engineering discipline, or significant experience in lieu of education/qualifications.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of technical and regulatory requirements related to electrical engineering.
- Knowledge and experience in designing electrical, mechanical, and other building service systems, and MEP standards.
- Experience in coordinating design teams and multi-discipline engineering resources with a focus on Building Services.
