We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our histology department in London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality histopathology services and contributing to laboratory accreditation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receipt, booking, and processing of specimens
  2. Performing cut-up, staining, and dispatching of specimens
  3. Ensuring quality control and accuracy in all work outputs
  4. Archiving of samples and managing specimen storage
  5. Participating in ongoing professional training and development
  6. Adhering to health and safety regulations and safe laboratory practices

Requirements:

  1. HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist and member of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (IBMS)
  2. Proven experience in a histology laboratory, with at least 2 years post-registration
  3. Proficient in microtomy and embedding techniques
