Job Opportunity

Element Materials Technology is seeking a highly skilled EMC Test Engineer to join our team in Surrey Hills, Guildford. As a key member of our operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting compliance testing on a wide range of products, including radio devices such as abgn, BT, and Cellular radios.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of relevant standards, including IEC, ETSI EN, EN, EN, and ANSI C63.10. They will also have experience with test equipment and instrumentation, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with customers during the testing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct EMC and RF tests, including setup, measurement, and documentation of results.
  • Understand customer test plans and follow laboratory technical procedures and test specifications.
  • Maintain knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation.
  • Accurately observe and record test progress and results, and organize and document data for each assigned project.
  • Interact with customers during testing, assisting with troubleshooting and development modifications as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics or equivalent electronics testing experience.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance, with a focus on EMC Testing.
  • Certification of Wireless Device Technologies.
  • Experience testing devices with wireless capabilities, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC.
  • Knowledge of radio test standards for Europe.
  • Proven ability to use EMC test equipment, including EMI receivers, Anechoic Chambers, and Spectrum Analyzers.
  • Knowledge of basic principles of electrical and electronic theory.
