Senior Radio Test Engineer

Element is seeking a skilled Senior Radio Test Engineer to support the growth of our Connected Technologies business at our state-of-the-art Lab Testing Facility in Surrey Hills near Guildford.
This senior role involves performing a variety of testing assignments, ensuring timely and accurate test results, and developing test plans utilizing strong understanding of Wireless Technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) and test standards.
The successful candidate will guide and help junior engineers, contribute to business development opportunities, and assist in the professional development of technicians and engineers within the local laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release accurate and timely testing data to customers, including creation and sign-off of test reports
- Oversee and guide problem-solving of complicated technical challenges
- Provide input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
- Assist in the professional development of technicians and engineers within the local laboratory
- Support technical leadership to interpret and apply regulations to various cutting-edge technologies
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of ETSI and FCC Radio test standards
- Strong understanding of Wireless Technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee...)
- Reasonable understanding of ISO / IEC 17025 and quality system management
- Depth of knowledge in testing Consumer Products for global certification requirements
- Ability to develop technical knowledge in the chosen field
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety
Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' pertinent post-degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in an EMC / Radio test laboratory environment
- Knowledge of UKAS Accreditations and quality systems beneficial
- Driving license and own vehicle required for remote lab location
