We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Hackney. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs across various year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt and differentiate lesson materials for SEN students.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Help to create a safe and positive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A strong understanding of various special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of children.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or education are desirable.
