Job Summary:

We are seeking a Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team at Hays Accountancy and Finance. As a Financial Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organisation's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances.
* Generate periodic financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
* Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and other relevant financial regulations, including tax laws and industry-specific standards.
* Maintain organised and detailed records of financial transactions, receipts, invoices, and other financial documents.
* Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits by providing requested financial documentation and supporting audit activities.
* Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
