The Role

  • Develop and maintain complex hydraulic models using Flood Modeller Pro, Flood Modeller Pro - TUFLOW linked models, ESTRY-TUFLOW linked models, and HEC-RAS.
  • Utilize QGIS, ArcMap, and MapInfo to analyze and interpret results from hydraulic models and prepare technical reports.
  • Manage projects and client relationships, providing expert advice and guidance to clients and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement flood risk assessments and strategic flood risk assessments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure successful project delivery.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in hydraulic modelling and flood risk assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and water industry regulation.
  • Expertise in GIS Systems, including MapInfo, ArcGIS, and QGIS.
  • Experience with FME, Optimatics, and Python programming languages.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership for Senior or Principal grades.
  • Affiliation with a professional institution such as IET, InstMC, or CIWEM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
